Neuron Viewer

Explore a simplified neuron: soma, nucleus, axon hillock, axon, myelin sheath, Schwann cells, and terminal vesicles. This is an educational overview, not an exhaustive atlas.

Neurons receive, integrate, and transmit information. Dendrite inputs are integrated in the soma; if threshold is reached, an action potential starts at the axon hillock, travels along the axon, and triggers neurotransmitter release at the terminal.
Tip: Cards can be expanded to read details about each component. Use the Prev/Next buttons to cycle parts.
